River Swale closed to all Angler’s downstream of the Bedale Beck mouth due to an outbreak of Bird Flu at a local poultry farm until further notice. Ther is no access to the river via Potters Lane in Morton on Swale. Parking and downstream access only from the bridge car park.
There is currently a 3km exclusion zone around the affected farm, and this stretch of our waters falls within that zone.
Anyone who ventures downstream of the Bedale Beck mouth will be reported to the Club and the authorities by the landowners.
