Northallerton Angling Club as founded in 1927. The Angling Club controls a large stretch of the river Swale around Morton on Swale, much of it being double bank fishing. Arguably one of the best stretches of the river, there is a large population of chub, with specimens over 6lb reported each season. The river here also holds some excellent barbel, pike to over 20lb as well as dace, grayling, brown trout and perch.
The club hosts many competitive matches on the river swale, including a Riverfest qualifier. However, even on match days a large section of river is still available for pleasure anglers.
Membership is available either on a yearly permit, or alternatively by purchasing a Day Ticket from one of our outlets.
