Northallerton Angling Club offers something for everyone!

Northallerton and District Angling Club features some of the of the best fishing in North Yorkshire, with over five miles of fantastic fishing water on the River Swale. It offers something for everyone whether you are a match angler or pleasure angler. The Clubs water boasts an excellent specimen venue for chub, barbel and pike with some notable fish being caught each season.  The River Swale match record was broken from Northallerton water back in 2008 with over 145lb caught during a five hour match.

Carthorpe Ponds have undergone work over recent years to improve the path ways and bankside. Although the larger lake was drained as part of the project, fish have shown again this season, and the ponds in general have fished well for the small number of anglers who fished them. Tench, roach, crucians, bream and eels have all featured in catches.

With an annual membership cost of only £50, (less than £1 per week), it truly is great value fishing.
